Sleepless in Seattle

WOW WOW WOW!!

48hours ago i was in still in Belgium , yesterday i was in NYC and now I'm in my hotel room having a Ceasar salad in... Seattle!

You can tell one thing for sure about a model life: it's F*cking unpredictable!

Tomorrow I'm having a shoot here and then back to my favorite city, New York.

I'm all exited to go back, new apartment, new adventures, new jobs and meeting new people,...

But for the next 24 hour i will spent my time in Seattle.

Ceesie did some researched and found out that Seattle is the city where Starbucks has started and the city where Curt Cobain has killed himself, interesting.

Anyway , I'm going to bed now, Ceesie has to look fresh and sexy tomorrow.

Hopefully no "Sleepless in seattle" for me ;-)

What do you wanna do after modeling?

You can't believe how many times I've heard that question in my life.

So tell me cesar, what do you wanna do after modeling???

To be honest, I don't really know... It's very difficult for me to answer that question. 

I got discovered the last year of high school and I really didn't know what to study after... So I thought, why not give it a shot as a model for a year and then you'll know what to study. And here we are 3 years later: working as a model and still don't know what i want to do in my life. hmmm... It scares me!!

I know I'm working at the moment but still this job is not forever and what next?? working at McDonald, i don't think S-O.

This week i made a list of jobs i would like to do:

- chef cook

- having my own coffee bar

- editor for a fashion magazine

- Booker at a model agency

- journalist

- having my own shop

- travel agent

- a buyer for a big fashion store like barneys NY or Collette in Paris.

- food critic

- inheritor

- actor

I hope i will figure it out by the time i need to! ;-)

Ceesie LOVES Gazpacho!!

Today it hit me, my new summer addiction will be : Gazpacho! It was so sunny and warm, i felt the summer in the air. What is better after a long day of doing castings and walking around in Paris to get home and have a cold bowl of Gazpacho.

I bought the soup in the supermarket and I've put some fresh cut cucumber, peppers and onions in it and some ice cubes! So good and healthy!

Ceesie misses NYC

After a while, being here in Belgium, it's getting a little BORINGGGGG...

I've seen all of my friends, went for coffee a 1000 times, went to every club in Ghent, went shopping and had some quality time with my parents and family.

Don't get me wrong, i L-O-V-E Ghent, but for my work there is nothing to do.

All my friends are going to school or working somewhere and me??? Hmmm... I'm just waiting for a job.

When I'm in NYC it's totally different. Then I'm in THE city. The city where a model has to be. The city where everything happens. Then I'm in the capital of the world!

I also don't work everyday in NY, but i feel much more useful then being here in Ghent, waiting to get a call to go to Paris or London for a job.

In NYC I can go to my gym, go to castings/go sees, museums, the movies... I get so much more Input!

What i miss the most:

-The People and there outfits: Here in Belgium there are no fun/extravagant dressed people on the street, everybody is dressed so normal and safe. ( Jeans, shirt, sweater and that's it) pfff... when i walk in the street of NYC i learn, i see and i explore!

- The food: When i ask people in Ghent what they think about American food they always say : BURGERS, FRIES, FAST FOOD!! Sorry but that's so wrong. In NY there is soooo much more

then that. I eat so much healthier when I'm over there.

- Starbucks: Can you believe that, we DON'T have STARBUCKS in Belgium!!! ( They just opened the first in Antwerp) woehoew!!! Maybe they will open one in Ghent in 4 years. ;-)

- My Gym: This week i had a free week pass at the gym where my mom goes, after 30 minutes i was done! I did all the machines... Bah!! such a small gym, so packed! PLEASE i need Chelsea

Pears ASAP!!

- Coconut water: They still don't have it here :-(

French fries/Belgian fries

Today I wanna talk about fries...

As a Belgian you have to love Fries. Chocolate, beer, Jean Claude van damme, fries these are just a few things where Belgium is famous for.

I don't know how it comes, but in my country we can make them so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Mmmmm...

Maybe because we have good oil or maybe because we bake them 2 times??

When i go to get my fries i always make a big order. In Belgium we don't just ask for a package of fries we also order some meat with it, so good and fattening!!! frikandel, bitterballen, kip saté, lookworst, curryworst, viandel,... i love it!!

You have to know that the fry culture in Belgium is BIG—fries are everywhere, the thick slabs of potatoes are freshly fried and served in paper cones, and they are offered with a variety of toppings, the most popular being mayonnaise—but we Belgians have also developed a wide variety of specialized fries shops, called, in Belgium "frietkots" or "fritures". These range from small stands, to sheds and caravans, to shacks or quaint chalets.

The thing that makes me upset is that Americans call them French fries and not Belgian fries... GRRrrrr... So i did some research on the Internet, why they call them french fries, and this is what i found:

A Belgian legend claims that the term "French" was introduced when British or American soldiers arrived in Belgium during World War I, and consequently tasted Belgian fries. They supposedly called them "French", as it was the official language of the Belgian Army at that time.

Ha! Stupid Americans ;-)

Anyway Belgian fries are the TOP of the pyramid!

living the life...

Monday night me and my friend went to the opening of the new 'JOSEPH' store in avenue Montagne and there was a little concert by... Pete Doherty. :-)

He was doing an acoustic performance. I was all exited to see him preforming live, but i was a little disappointed after the concert. All slow songs and not really a good vibe... brrrrr!

And how does he look?? JESUS.

He looked so unhealthy and dirty... I think the rock and roll/Heroine look is O-V-E-R, so please pete get yourself together and go to Rehab, before it's to late!

Speaking about an other hotmess is Lindsay Lohan. I met her also that night...

Many people in fashion hate her and think she is discusting, but i think she is fun!!!

She was so nice to me and i think she looked very good. Of course i only sad like 5 words to here, but anyway... i met her, and kissed here, and hold her hand, and told her she looked sexy,

hahahaha!

Now it's done with partying and acting like a socialite!

Back to work and running around with my book under my arm in paris.

J'adore Paris

Ceesie is spending a week in Paris and Lovin it.

How nice can paris be when it's sunny and Fashion week?

Going to nice parties, fancy restaurants, doing some shopping...

First of all i've always been a BIG fan of Paris.

I think the people here are so chic and everything looks so beautiful and expensive.

Sunday night i went to see the GIVENCHY show and i have to say it was AMAZING.

I love Givenchy. Ricardo ROCKS! The clothes, the fabrics... J'adore!

It's always fun to go see a big show... All the topmodels, all the fabulous people. A fashionshow is so much fun, it's almost like going to a concert.

Polaroids

As a model i need to take a lot of Polaroids.

On castings, at the agency, on a shoot,...

Good Polaroids are everything for a model!!!

All clients always ask for some fresh new Polaroids next to the models book.

I think it's very sad that Polaroid stopped with making films. :-(

The colors are so much nicer and i think that everybody looks better in an old Polaroid then on digital camera. Don't you?

And it's just so much more fun to take them, after 2 minutes you have your funny Picture of a nice memory.
