Sicily

Two days ago i was still in NYC, yesterday in my home country Belgium and now sipping from my glass prosecco while I'm laying on my sunbed next to the swimming pool.

Life can be hard as a model ;-)

Every year my mom and step-dad take me on an unforgettable holiday. Last year it was Bali, this year... the Italian Island Sicily.

The island famous for The Mafia, pizza, Pasta, gelato, cappuccino and vino is amazingly beautiful. The water is so blue and the food is so good!

Going on a holiday with your Parents is fun:
- Everything is free.
- You stay in the best hotels.
- You go to the best restaurants and bars.
- You do more cultural stuff.
- Your relationship with your parents gets stronger.
I'm all exited and happy to be on a holiday... Some sun/beach/relaxation,
All ceesie needs right now.
Anyway, i gonna jump in the water.
Ciao!!

Extit through the Gift shop

Last night i went to see the documentary "exit through the gift shop".
It's a Documentary about street art and most of all about my personal favorite... Banksy.
The film contains exclusive footage of Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Invader and many of the worlds most infamous graffiti artists at work, on walls and in interview. As Banksy describes it, Its basically the story of how one man set out to film the un-filmable.
Ceesie loves street art, I think it's amazing that people color up the streets with there ideas and creativity.
In Gent I have a friend who also does that kind of stuff. His artist name is "Bue".
Almost every area in the city has a graffiti from him.
His work is so colorful and fun to watch,
I love it!

The Hamptons

Ceesie is Leaving NYC in 3 Days...
Going on a Holiday with my parents in Sicily and after TOKYO, WOEHOEWWWW
For my last weekend in NY, my friend invited me for a surprise weekend to the HAMPTONS.
It was SO FUN. We got a car and drove from Manhattan all the way to Montauk where we stayed in a Motel on the beach... So sunny/warm and relaxing. It's good to get out of the city once and a while.
The Hamptons are very beautiful, the houses are amazing and everything looks so expensive and très chic, LOVE IT!

Williamsburg

Ceesie loves living in Williamsburg/Brooklyn. Many people ask me why i don't live in the city, but for me living here is like living in a little Village. I just love it to leave my work behind and to walk home over the bridge.
You can bike here, go to the park, less traffic and it's just so much calmer compare to the city.
Here are a few of my favorite places to eat in Williamsburg:

Oslo coffee, The best coffee!! North 4th and Roebling street.

I LOVE cinnamon raisin bagels, In 'the bagel store' they have the best! North 3th and Bedford.

Very cute and good italian restaurant. On the corner of Grand and Wythe street.

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard... My favorite diner! North 3th street and Wythe.
(AMAZING onion rings!!)

Peter's is a great restaurant to have a "home cooked meal". You can order chicken, ribs or meatloaf and you can choose 2 vegetables on the side for just 15 dollar. So good and easy.
On North 7th and Bedford.

banana bread

Me and my roommate made Banana bread last night....
Ceesie LOVES banana bread, another thing i discovered in New York City!

What we need:
220 grams of flour
110 grams of butter
150 grams of brown sugar
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas
1 teaspoon baking soda
a pinch of salt
a little bit of cinnamon ( you don't need to but i LOVE cinnamon)

How to make the Bread:
Preheat your oven on 180°C.
Put the bananas in a big mixing bowl, add the 2 eggs and start mixing till it's all juicy and dirty.
In another bowl you mix the butter and sugar till it's creamy and combined.
When you did that you mix the butter and sugar with the bananas and the eggs.
Add some salt, little bit of cinnamon , the baking soda and add the flower.
Stir everything together till the banana mixture is thick and creamy.
Pour the mix into buttered loaf pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 6O minutes, to make sure it's ready you can put a fork in the bread and if it pulls out dry and the bread doesn't stick to the fork it's perfect! Let it rest for 40 minutes...
AND you're ready to ATTACK!!!

Thanks

Pedro Almodóvar

Ceesie loves Pedro Almodovar movies.
For me Perdo is one of the best directors in the world.
Last night i saw "La mala educacion" and it was amazing!! The acting, the atmosphere, the glossy decors, strong colors, irreverent humor,... I always love his themes: Passion, Desire, Family, identity, transsexuals,....
My favorite ones are "todo sobre mi madre" and "Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios".

westville

One of my favorite places in the city to go for dinner/brunch is WESTVILLE!

There are 2 in the city, my favorite one is located in the East village, on the corner of 11 th street and avenue A and the other one is in the West village.

The food is sooooo good, not expensive and fresh!

I always take the Market vegetables. For just 13 dollars you can choose 4 different styles of veggies and you can take grilled chicken or grilled salmon on the side if you like. TIP: The brussels sprouts are the best.

Oh, And they serve the best soy chai in the city.

Living the life

Wouldn't you love to do a shoot with one of your best friends? In an amazing penthouse? with 6 bottles of Moët champagne and more then 4 boxes of Russian caviar?

HA!!Ceesie did it last Thursday.

Me and skye did a shoot together and it was SO FUN! ;-)

It was for Russian Tatler magazine. The clothes were amazing, all long dresses and tuxedo's. The mood: extravagant/decadent and party hardy and who is better then skye and me to represent that?!

Ceesie just loves Living his life.
