Is having a baby the new accessory of 2012?

People around me seems to be getting children like there is no tomorrow.

In my hometown almost all of my older friends are pregnant, just got a new born baby or are thinking about getting a new member in the family.

It made me think if I will ever become a father and I think yes, but not for the next 10 years!

For Ceesie it's important that you have a good job, a nice house, no stress and above all don't have any financial problems while raising a child. I mean, what's worse than growing up your sweetheart without having money to spoil him or her?

For me 30-35 is the perfect age to get a baby.

Can you imagine me strollin' around the streets with a baby stroller at my age? I don't think S-O.

Or maybe I do... I think I kind of look hot as a young dad. LOL!

All of the lights

Over the past weekend my city was all about lights, lights and light cause the second edition of "light festival Ghent" took place.

The Light Festival wants to reveal a glimpse of the unique and hidden charm of my city. You could experience unique and spectacular lighting along the waterways, at historical locations and monuments all over the center of Ghent.

About fifteen internationally renowned artists and light designers lead you during the darkest days of the year along a 6 km track. On several unique locations, both inside and outside, you could admire the work of the light artists.

The installations are all incredible and very nicely done.

It made me realise how beautiful and amazing my city truly is.

Comforting winter soup

I always love a good bowl of warm soup in the winter times: Tomato, cauliflower, zucchini, chicken soup,... name it, Ceesie loves it.

But my personal favorite is my stepmom's carrot-red pepper-pumpkin soup.

So yummie and so easy to make.

What do we need:

- 1 kg carrots

- 1 big onion

- 2 red peppers

- 1/2 kg pumpin

- 2 liters chicken broth

- 2 laurel leaves

- 1 small hand of fresh thyme leaves

- 1 tablespoon yellow curry powder

- small hand of fresh cut and peeled ginger

- peper and salt

- 1 hand of flesh coriander leaves

How we make this:

Peel and cut all the veggies into small pieces. Heat some olive oil in a high baking pot and color the chopped onions until they are golden brown. Add the carrots, ginger and pumpkin and let it bake for about 6 minutes, add the red peppers and cook on a high temperature.

After a few minutes you add the chicken stock, the laurel leaves, the fresh thyme, the curry powder and some salt and black pepper to spice it up.

Let it boil for 20 minutes till all the veggies are soft and tender, by preference under a lid so you keep all the vitamins and flavors.

Mix until all the chunks are gone and you get a smooth delicious soup.

If you like eastern flavors you can finish it with a little bit of coconut milk and some fresh coriander leaves, or if you like it more simple you can add a tablespoon of fresh goat cheese and some ground black pepper.

Ceesie was for less than 48 hours in the capital of South-Korea, the city where it all began... I used to live in Seoul for 2 months 3 years ago. It was my first modeling trip ever, so I was very happy and exited to visit Seoul for the 2nd time in my life.

Seoul is an amazing city. The food, the people, the atmosphere and the architecture is just incredible. Being there for less then 48 hours was again a C-R-A-Z-Y and very intense experience. Ceesie all jet-set lagged was wide awake at 3 am and went strolling down the Korean streets in the middle of the night. I went for Kimpab and my old time favorite: Kimchi. At 7 am the people from the shoot picked me up from my hotel and it was time to give the Koreans some heavy Zoolander moves.

The day after I had a day off and went to the Karl Lagerfeld exhibition, did some shopping, had a massage from a blind woman, walked around in my old hood, had my first green tea soy latte (my new favorite starbucks drink) and went for a traditional Korean bbq. After all that I took the 16 hour long flight back to Belgium. Ceesie had a short but productive trip.

Another thing you might not know about Ceesie is that he loves skateboarding. Sadly enough I can't stand longer than 15 seconds on a skateboard. But I just love to watch skaters skateboard and rollin' down the streets.

I think it's such a cool and fun thing to do.

Ceesie always had a big love for Total 0% Greek yoghurt. But while shopping in the Italian supermarkets I discovered my new favorite snack. It's the normal total yoghurt but with a blueberry jam on the side. You just mix the 2 in one and you get an amazing combination. So good and 0% fat!

BABY OVERBOARD

If there is one thing Ceesie hates it's the sound of a screaming child on an airplane. I wish that babies were not allowed to board planes or that there was an airlines that don't allow small children. For example yesterday, on my flight from Brussels to Milan there was a baby NON STOP crying, screaming and bouncing just one row behind me. It was so loud I almost wanted to throw the baby out of the airplane!

Don't get me wrong I do like children , sometimes, but when you're in a small room and you try to relax and your headphones or earplugs are not helping to get rid of that annoying sound... you just go LOCO, enough is enough!

Diane Arbus

Today, in between casting I went to a cool exhibition in Paris. The exhibition was about the famous photographer Diane Arbus.
For the people who never heard of this amazing artist, Diane Arbus was an American photographer and writer noted for black and white square photographs of deviant and marginal people (dwarfs, giants, transvestites, nudists,...) or of people whose normality seems ugly or surreal. In other words: freaks.
I remember learning about her in high school, so I thought it wouldn't be a bad thing to have a closer look into her work and to refresh my memory. For Ceesie the pictures are really interesting and strange in there own way. In the artist's own words: "A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know." and Ceesie totally agrees with that!

What a year the last one has been... From the awful earthquake that befell Japan, the royal wedding, the fashion wedding and the short reality show wedding to the discovery and killing of Bin Laden, the ending of Gadaffi, John Galliano’s crazy moment and lot's more. It has been a year of political unrest and economic uncertainty.

For Ceesie 2011 was not such a great year. Although I went to Sydney, moved to a new house, did some fun shoot and had some great and unforgettable moments I'm not very satisfied and happy when I look back over the past year.

Let 2012 be a better and much more fun year then the last one.

Like every good thing has my Sydney trip ended and when I look back at this unforgettable experience I'm happy and satisfied. I saw one of the most amazing countries in the world, met some great people, did some fun shoots, had the best coffee and discovered some amazing beaches. In other words: Ceesie worked hard, but played even harder. Sadly enough no Skippy spotted, so I guess that’s a good reason for me to come back to this amazing country.

The other day Ceesie was having his daily fresh coconut in his favorite organic café in Sydney. As you all know I'm a complete and utter coconut addict and it's my second favorite drink (after champagne, I work in fashion after all). So you can imagine my HORROR when I decided to look up the nutritional details of my snack after I finished it. Coconut meat has about 200 calories for every TWO INCH PIECE. The calories that Ceesie had been casually eating every day since he got here, were scarier to me than a Nineties horror movie. Coconut water? VERY ca va. Coconut meat? NO ca va!!!

Another thing I ♥ about Sydney , is that you're never more then half an hour away from an amazing beach. Sydney beaches all offer something different; whether it's a great beach for surfing, relaxing or watching an amazing view.

Ceesie's personal favorite is Bondi beach. Full of cool people, cute coffee bars, great restaurants and on top of all that they have an amazing outdoor swimming pool called 'Icebergs'. The ultimate wet dream for a swimmer like me. ;-)

Feeling healthy means something different to everyone. Whether you're obsessed with sculpting your muscles down the gym, run for hours on a treadmill or swim 50 laps in a swimming pool. I think that working on your body has never been hotter then before. Maybe it all started because of my job, but I just LOVE to workout. I sometimes have the feeling that I workout a little TOO much, maybe I got bit by the fitbug? It's even so bad that when I don't do any exercise for 2 days I feel fat, unhealthy and extremely lazy. And I have to say that spending some time in Sydney doesn’t really help my "sports addiction". People here are obsessed with working on there body and being in shape. Surfing, jogging, swimming,... all day everyday, that's the spirit here down under!

And as you all know I love to explore different food cultures, so I asked my Aussie friends to show me their favorite restaurants, bars, grocery shops and organic markets in Sydney. Ceesie all exited in the stores discovered his new guilty pleasure. They're called Tim Tam cookies and I have to say that they are NOT NORMAL!!! Soft crunchy cookies covered in chocolate. Ceesie misses the good old days of MySpace. If I had to choose between MySpace, Twitter or Facebook I'd definitely go for MySpace. I have to admit that I was VERY addicted and that it was much more fun. You could pimp your own page, put your own favorite music on it, choose your own background,... I just think that Facebook gives way too much information at once. I sometimes have the feeling that there’s NO privacy at all. Once you're "Facebook friends" you can see and know everything about that person by looking at there Facebook, scary! I mean... I don't want to pop up at my booker’s or some photographer’s page, so they can see some drunken pictures of Ceesie from over the weekend, no gracias! When we were using MySpace you needed to go to that persons page, while Facebook gives all the information at once. Let's all start with making myspace hip again and give our selfs a little more privacy!

Here is another preview recipe from my cookbook that will be on sale September 2012.

I discovered this easy and delicious recipe a few months ago while eating in one of my favorite restaurants in Manhattan, Café Habana. I have to admit that Ceesie never had a corn on the cob before and never heard of it either.

But it's just so delicious, so healthy and so easy to make that I had to put it in my cookbook.

What we need:

- 4 corns, silk removed

- 1 cup Cotija cheese or Parmesan cheese

- 1 tablespoon chili powder

- 1 tablespoon paprika powder

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

- 4 wedges lime

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

Combine in a little bowl the pepper, salt, chili powder and the paprika powder and put on the side.

Put on your grill at high heat. Pull the shell from the corn and put the corn for 10 minutes in cold water. After that you put the corn for about 10 minutes on the grill. Turn around every 2 minutes till all the sides of the corn are grilled and the yellow seeds are tender and starting to look brown.

When the corn is ready you let it rest for about 2 minutes and you grease the corn in with olive oil. You also sprankle the spice mix on the cob . When all of that is done you roll the corn in the cheese and ready you are.

Serve with 2 slices of lime and ENJOY!

Ceesie just watched the documentary of Chris Rock about black people and their hair and I have to say I was surprised!

I didn't know that good hair was such a big deal for black women and I was shocked how much money and time they spend on it.

There are 2 ways of getting your hair good when you have afro hair.

You can use relaxer aka the creamy crack. Relaxer is a hair cream that makes it shiny and straight.

So I learned that if there hair is relaxed they're relaxing, if there hair is nappy they aint happy.

Or you can get a weave. A weave is almost like a wig, they weave real hair , from India or Malesia, into afro hair.

Ceesie was shocked how much money that costs, it starts from a 1000 dollars and it can run up to 3500 or more. INSANE!!!

Weaves hurt your pockets i guess, but a lot of women see it as an investment. Cause you're worth it?!

Not only does it takes a lot of money from you it also takes a lot of time, about 6 hours a weave.

All that money and effort just to make your hair blow in the wind? RESPECT!!!!

They stimulate culinary innovation, provide jobs and contribute revenue to the city and give us, foodies, the possibility to taste good food that's made in a simple truck.

These popular food trucks travel from location to location across west to east and from south to north Manhattan, serving up a selection of food on the go.

From Korean BBQ to Asian noodle soups and from Moroccan couscous to frozen yoghurt, name it they have it!

I sometimes HATE my job... Or maybe this job is just not the right one for me?

I mean:

- I'm in love with food, but I'm not allowed to eat it.

- I get to wear all these amazing clothes and outfits , but I'm not capable to afford all of them.

- I travel all over the world and get to see all these amazing places, but I'm mostly there for less then 24 hours and the only thing I get to see is a f*cking studio.

- It's almost impossible to have a normal relationship.

- And where is home? I don't really have a place to call home, or does my luggage count?

Don't get me wrong I'm very thankfull and SUPER happy to be a model, but some people really do underestimate this job. They just see the glamorous and fancy side, but I guess that every job has his downsides.

Lately Ceesie is not able to sleep longer then 7.30 am.

It doesn't matter if I go to bed at 10 pm or 1 am, I just always wake up around 7.30 in the morning.

Since the beginning of June I decided to wake up early to get the most of my days.

But now I'm so used of waking up with the birds that it's starting to annoy me.

I miss the days where I could sleep till 11 am and roll on the other side of the bed for another hour of snoozing.

Ceesie just got back from a shoot in the south of France and I have to say that I love it there. When I was a kid my dad and stepmom always took me to spend our summer holiday. So since then it's always a pleasure to go back, as it reminds me of back in the days.

I think the atmosphere and the nature is so incredible.

Maybe I should move to a little village next to Avignon when I'm old and grey to start my own little bed and breakfast?

Wouldn't that be a nice way to spend my golden years?

Go to the farmers markets, buy fresh organic veggies and goat cheese, enjoy a glass of rosé wine while basking in the sun of the cote d'azur on your lazy summer days.

Flying first class to the stars

On my way back from Miami to NYC I got a free upgrade to fly first class with Delta airlines. Normally I dont like flying with Delta, I think the leg space is way too short and the safety features are so annoying to watch! I can't stand that red haired women. The way she says "smoking is not allowed on any Delta flight" gives me the creeps. lol!
But this trip to NYC made it all change!
I have to admit that flying first class is A-mazing: Much bigger seats, no annoying children, no smelly people, better service and much more comfort.
I dont know if its a good or a bad thing that I experienced this upgrade, cause now I only wanna fly first class. Grrrrr...

COCO LOCO

As all of you know I'm a coconut addict, I drink coconut water every day.

But Ceesie barely get to drinks the real fresh once.

So today I was laying on the beach and someone was selling fresh coconuts.

Ceesie all exited and thirsty went over to the guy to spoil himself with a coconut.

He asked me if I wanted a normal or a Coco loco and of course I went for the Coco loco, which is a fresh coconut with a splash of rum in it!

So there I was... lying on the white sand, working on my tan and drinking my coco loco.

Yesterday I was walking down the streets of Miami and I noticed a huge fat guy sitting at Mc Donalds and stuffing himself with 3 BIG macs and fries.

And I thought... HOW DARE YOU!!??

It just makes me so angry when I see REALLY fat people eating fattening food.

Don't they have any respect for there own body?

I understand that some people have a really bad digestion and can't do anything about being overweight, but why would you eat unhealthy food and drink liters of soda than?

It's like they are addicted to food and it looks like they are trying to look like giant Sumo wrestlers.

And what pisses Ceesie of the most is the fact that they are always talking about losing weight but they don't do a daim about it. Instead they just eat more and more unhealthy!

I don't wanna sound mean or unrespectful but it's just sad, cause some people will eat themselves to death.

Show some respect for your body cause your body is your temple! ;-)

It will be on sale in september 2012 and will be published in Dutch and English, so all you readers can read it!

We will try to sell it all over the world and make this book as cool and unique as possible.

There is still a lot of work and everything is still new and unknown for me, but Ceesie is SO exited to start writing his own book and to check that of his bucket list.

Ceesie is so happy that his favourite fruit friends are back in season!!

Although dried figs are available throughout the year, there is nothing like the unique taste and texture of fresh figs.

I did some research and found out that the common fig is one of the oldest trees cultivated by humans and mentioned even in the Bible!!

Not only are they extremely tasteful, they are also rich in water, carbohydrates, proteins, cellulose, potassium, iron, calcium and vitamin A.

And if you are having trouble with your bowel movements they are extremely good. LOL ;-)

Beijing

Ceesie was in Beijing for less then 36 hours. And I have to say I'm pretty proud of myself for seeing so much in such a short time!

After a 10 hour flight from brussels (which I survived thanks to a Xanax and a glass of wine) Ceesie arrived in the capital city of China.

First impression: dirty, big and Chinese. Beijing is a strange city, not comparable to Tokyo, Hong Kong, Seoul or any other Asian city I've been to in the past. I had a free-time of 16 hours so I decided to use it wise. I arrived in Peking at 7 am and went straight for a typical dumpling breakfast. After I went to visit the forbidden city, did some shopping at Sanlitun, went for local chinese noodle soup and passed out like a baby in my hotel. The next day was working day for Ceesie. Shoot was long and hard, but a happy client as usual. All photoshoot fresh and only 4 hours left I went to one of the biggest fake markets in the world, where you can find anything you can possibly imagine. Ceesie things that nowadays we don't communicate face to face enough.

We all have a cell phone, all have a computer , all have a facebook and we all spend way to much time and energy in front of our computer.

I should not speak, I even have my own blog and I'm a facebook addict myself, but I just think it's a little sad.

For example, I can't remember the last time a friend showed up in front of my house, unannounced, to go for a drink.

Today, we even experience a feeling of isolation when our Internet connections goes down, revealing just how dependent we’ve become on the connective power of the Web.

Ceesie things there is just too much social network and not enough social connection... Whether you like it or not, it seems to be the way the world is heading.

Summer of rain

Tomorrow is the 1st of september, wich means end of summer and time to go back to school.
I honestly think I've had my worst summer ever!
When I look back over the last 2 months I have the feeling it was fall and not at all summer. I haven't been to the Belgian coast once, haven't been swimming in the sea and I didn't tan.
And what about all the bbq's and summer drinks, where you can sit outside with just a T-shirt on till 1 am?
Except for the 2 holidays, Lisbon and Tuscany, I didn't had a summer feeling at all.
Normally I'm always so happy to spend my summer in Belgium together with my friends and family, but this time it was an all different experience for Ceesie.

Bonsai tree

A few days ago I went to see the new Almodovar movie "La piel que habito" wich is , as always, amazing.

In the movie Antonio Banderas is growing Bonsai trees and I suddenly fell in love with the midget trees.

I think they are so cute and so cool. I mean a 100 year old tree and only 40 cm high??!! crazy no?

So maybe I'll buy myself a little Bonsai next week, so I can start growing my own Bonsai forest.

Ceesie cant imagine a world without a best friend, but as I'm growing older I've become more and more realistic about the idea that friendship changes and evolves and your best friend today may not be your best friend tomorrow.

I guess it's just the way it goes... people change, your life changes and your intrests in life change.

When I was a teenager I always thought that the friends I had back then would stay my friends forever and ever. But time shows that's all just an illusion.

Not every friendship is forever.

Sad to say, but I guess that's the way it goes.

Fashion Victim

I sometimes wonder if people think of me as a fashion victim...

Am I?

For me fashion is something fun and I don't really think that I try to hard to be "Fashion".

Ceesie just loves to buy new clothes and to look good. I guess it's because I'm always surrounded by the new trends and styles.

But what is a fashion victim?

For me a fashion victim is a shopaholic who only purchases brand- name apparel and will only consider wearing an item that is "the latest trend," regardless of whether or not he can pull it off.

According to Versace a fashion victim is, "When a woman or a man alters their look too much from season to season, he/she becomes a fashion victim."

And I think he is right...

It's just sad to see people trying so desperately to look hip or to be up to date with the latest style. For example; Is there anything more shameful than seeing a women wearing the newest Louboutins heels that are way to high for her? Or a girl saving up all her money for that new It-Bag?

Anyway, remember readers, it's not about the clothes you wear it's about how you wear them! Don't let fashion fool you...

Cookie monster

Ceesie LOVES cookies, ever since I was a kid I'm obsessed with the crispy taste of the delicious delight. It was so bad that my babysitter often called me the cookie monster.

I'm not such a lover for the creamy, juicy and chocolate kind.

You can seduce me more with a dry and hard cookie.

So last week I made one of my favorite cookies, they are the ones I often made when I was a child: Super easy and oh so tasteful.

What do we need for 4 persons:

- 150 grams of flour

- 80 grams of sugar

- little bit of cinnamon

- 60 grams of butter

- a pinch of salt

- 1 egg

How to start:

- Preheat your oven at 180 °c.

- Put the egg, the salt and the sugar in one bowl and start mixing.

- Combine the flower and the cinnamon powder with the rest in the mixing bowl.

- Mix the butter under it as well.

- When you have a good smooth dough you let it rest for 15 minutes in the fridge.

- After 15 minutes you roll the dough out and you start cutting little figures out of it.

- After that you put the cookies for 10 minutes in the oven until edges are set and lightly browned.

I sometimes wonder If I would consider plastic surgery when I grow older... and I don't think I would. I don't need plastic in my body to validate me as a man, at least for now.

Nowadays it's so easy and common to nip and tuck in your body. As a matter of fact I think that everybody knows at least 4 people who went under the knife.

I think it's a little scary... it's just so easy to walk in to a clinic and to fix something you don't like about yourself. I guess I would be afraid that it would turn in to an addiction, as it's just so available and fast.

Don't get me wrong; Ceesie has nothing against it, but I would like to grow old with my face moving.

Tanning Tanning Tanning or should I say knocking on cancercells door?

When Ceesie was a teenager the only thing he wanted to do , when he was on holiday, was getting his skin as dark as a possible!

But now getting a little older (and wiser ;-)) I'm kind of over the tanning addiction.

Of course It's nice to have a golden gloss, but oiling your body in with monoï and laying next to the pool from 9 am till sunset is a little ridiculous and extremely unhealthy.

So for all you sunbathers out there: let the sun kiss your skin but don't let it become a sin.

People in America are way too friendly sometimes.

I think that an average American says at least 15 times "sorry" in one day.

For example, when you walk down the street and a person ALMOST touches you they already apologise before they even did something... It's a little over the top.

In Belgium we don't say sorry that often, does that mean we are rude?

A guy once told me that apologising is a sign of weakness.

Don't get me wrong I love kind people but too kind is too kind.

Sorry that I haven't been writing on the blog for almost a week now, but Ceesie was busy with doing... NOTHING!

After traveling all around the world, non stop, I took a 5 day break from emails, Internet and fashion.

And so I went back to my favorite European city: Lisboa, to celebrate my 23Th birthday.

I don't know what it is but I think I'm getting addicted to the Portuguese capital city.

I just have the best times and the biggest adventures over there.

The city itself is very beautiful, the people are super nice, the food is great, the beaches amazing and the night life is insane. What more do you want?

Lisboa I know you miss me already, but don't worry I'll be back before you know it! ;-)

As some of you might have noticed, Ceesie hasn't been doing any runway shows this season, reason: TRAVACHOS IN NYC!

Even though I like fashion week, and the great atmosphere it comes along with, I'm happy I made money and didn't need to worry about: running around in the heat with my city map and portfolio under my arm, no waiting in line for 2 hours and no stress about what shows I will or not do.

Maybe next season I'll be back on the runway... Who knows?

If there is one reason why I would rather be a girl than a boy it would be for the clothing, and the sexy outfits of course ;-).

I'm so jealous that girls can wear so much more than we, guys, can.

A dude can only choose between long or short pants, while a girl can go for a skirt, long dress, pants, shorts or a sexy cocktail gown.

I think it's unfair!!

I know that many designers as Jean Paul Gaultier or Marc Jacobs have tried to bring the male skirt into the fashion world before, but Ceesie doesn't think it's working.

A boy is not supposed to wear a skirt, or should we?

I just think we will have to deal with it guys... In fashion there is sadly enough just much more choice for the chicas than for the chicos.

When I was a kid I always wanted to be black.

Is that funny?

I thought they were so pretty and so much cooler.

I just LOVE colored people I guess... I think they have a great personality, they produce my favorite type of music, they smile much more than white people and they love eating chicken as much as Ceesie does.

Another thing that I love about them is that they are always the first ones on the dance floor and showing of there great feeling of rhythm.

I honestly think that I was black in my past life.

Ceesie is back in NYC or should I say Tattoo ville? Everywhere I look or go I see people covered in tattoos, It's just not beautiful or fun to watch!

Honestly I think it's disgusting.

I agree with having a small tattoo (like myself) or a nice big one but covering your whole arm, leg, neck or even your face is just a little too much for me.

What's the point? Enough is enough, let's stop fucking up our skin and keep it normal for once.

Ceesie was shooting for a few days in Sorrento, a small city next to Naples in the south of Italy.

Naples, the place where the pizza is the best and the mafia the worst, at least that's what my driver told me.

To be honest Naples is one of the most beautiful places I've been in Europe.

The water here is clear blue and the nature is just incredible. High cliffs with amazing authentic Italian villas on top and a clear blue sky.

Ceesie finished reading a new great book.

After my favorite photographer Marcus Piggott recommended me to read the biography of Marchesa Luisa Casati I went to my favorite bookstore in NYC, located on 52 Prince street in Soho. I'd never heard of Luisa Casati before and I have to say that Marcus was correct, the book is A-mazing.

The Marchesa was a socialite in the first three decades of the Twentieth century. She was the most scandalous women of her time and wanted to be a living work of art.

Luisa was always dressed in the most crazy outfits and was covert from head to toe in leopard, lase and fur. She was infamous for her evening strolls, walking around with snakes and had all kinds of monkeys in her humongous houses.

She was obsessed with art and was a muse for many famous artists. Even today she is still an inspiration for many designers such as John Galliano, Tom Ford and Karl Lagerfeld and her life has been the subject of many movies and plays.

Ceesie loves reading biographies, you learn and read at the same time.

Ceesie has start with buying disposable cameras... When I was younger my parents use to take pics all the time and make photo albums from every holiday, but now... We barely do that. With a Digital camera you don't develop your pictures as much, they just stay on your computer, which is kind of stupid. I think a disposable camera is just so much more fun, you can't always remember what pictures you took or you can't look them up.

So when you develop them it's always one big surprise.

And ceesie LOVES surprises!

Ceesie was asked to work on a charity event... And so I did!

The brand Dsquared was doing a big fashion show at the Life ball this year.

The life ball is the biggest charity event in Europe supporting people with HIV or AIDS.

So I flew this weekend from Belgium to the city of princess Sissi, Vienna.

To work on an unforgettable show, and I have to say that the show was totally over the top. Janet Jackson, Amanda Lepore, Anna Dello Russo and Bill Clinton were all there, together with more then 6000 people watching us, all dressed up in the craziest outfits you can imagine!

Ceesie loves charity and is happy he did something good for the people who are HIV positive.

Ceesie just finished shooting the new Borsalino campaign in Milano.

For the ones who never heard of the brand, Borsalino is one of the oldest hat brands in the world. The brand was established in 1857 and is still well known for his great quality and chicness.

And I have to say that some of the hats are also amazingly beautiful.

I think they are just so classy and they give an extra touch to your outfit.

After the shoot I was walking to my hotel and I wondered what happened with people wearing hats? Back in the days men and women used to wear hats all the time... and now you barely see someone wearing a nice classic hat in the street. So, me, Ceesie has decided to make my white Borsalino hat my new summer item.

I haven't had a coffee for over a month now...

I don't really know why I did this coffee break thing.

Maybe to be more "healthy"? or maybe just to challenge myself?

But being in Milan I just can't resist the best cappuccino's in the world.

How come that they are so good here? That's a question I'm asking myself for over 3 years now... I mean... I travel the world, but there is just no better place then Italy to drink cappuccino's.

Long Island Ice-Tea

My friend Erin invited me to spent the weekend at her parents house in Long Island and I have to admit, I was positive surprised!

After spending so much time in one of the biggest cities of the world it's sometimes nice to escape from the craziness. I mean... Is there anything better then waking up with the sound of birds and to breathe in some fresh ocean air?

So that's exactly what Ceesie and his friend did.

We went for a walk at the beach, went for seafood at an authentic clambar, went shopping at target (my favorite American store), discovered fluff, and had a real American BBQ. And I'm telling you there was A LOT of food involved.

Grilled shrimps, Buffalo wings, Ribs with BBQ sauce, Lamb chops and I'm not even telling you about the dessert. Oh Boy!

Ceesie just loves those little trips outside of Manhattan, gives me energy and peace.

cinco de mayo

Yesterday was one of Ceesie's favorite holidays: Cinco de Mayo!

The date is to commemorate the cause of freedom and democracy of Mexico during the first years of the American Civil War.

I never heard of cinco de mayo before I came to NYC. In Belgium we don't have that many Mexicans so no reason to celebrate I guess?

But I've decided that I gonna celebrate Cinco de mayo from now on every year.

I don't care where I'll be, I'll just gonna have fun, party and drink frozen margaritas till I don't remember my own name! HA!

And that's exactly what I did yesterday!! I celebrated it as it should be. ;-)

Yesterday was Easter and Ceesie celebrated it all the way.

I was invited to my friends house to have an amazing Easter brunch with 8 other people.

Home made salads, grilled lamb chops , French cheeses , 10 bottles of Moët champagne and Belgian chocolates eggs that I had brought from my hometown Gent.

To be honest I never really celebrated Easter , even when I was a kid I never went searching for eggs in my garden... So this was by far the best Easter celebration for me, up to the next one.
